  This restaurant prides itself on the size of its portions, which are indeed enormous. Dining room was a noisy, crowded basement. I kept imagining it was a speakeasy for fat people intent on breaking their diets. There was a 40-minute wait for a table, but there was a handmade soap shop and an antique store nearby to help pass the time. There were plenty of friendly waitstaff to cope with the weekend crowd. We shared a country salad, which we enjoyed. Excellent bacon and strawberry freezer jam. The blueberry scone was plate-sized mountain of dough.

  Great service and great food!!! There is usually quite a wait for breakfast on the weekends, but it's worth it and once seated they are quick with the service. Their coffee, OJ and food are all really good, with large portions at great prices. They have always been very accommodating with our special requests and substitutions and they never mess them up! Hardest working crew I've seen around!

  Malty is always great!!! The food is well priced, the portions are generous, and everything tastes delicious! I've never had anything here that I didn't like. The service is top-notch. The only bad thing is that Maltby is so good, you had better get there early if you don't want to risk a long wait. But the wait is always worth it!
